HomePage Makeover

My process first started with what the similarities between the two websites were.I noticed that they had similar designs and concepts embedded in both their websites already, but the Chiefs are more intricate and have a more complex layout. I decided to go with the general concept of the Chiefs website, but have the simplicity of the Shawnee Mission North website. The creation was pretty simple, just adding CSS and other things to make the website more suitable for a school and what it has to offer. The hardest part of creating this website was incorporating all that was needed for this sight while also making it my own and keeping it close to my original concept and idea. The post production of this project was just organizing all the photos and picking nice fonts for all the smaller type. This stage did not take me as long as the other stages; I was able to finish this stage in about a day.
What I learned along the was how long each stage of these projects take. This was a simpler project, so there wasn't as much time consumption, but some of my other projects where I have done similar things has taken me three weeks or more. I have learned how the more depth I would have gone into this project, the more time it would have taken me to create. There wasn't anything really technical that I learned along the way since I already have a good grasp on the programs that I was using to create the website.
Overall, this project gave me more of an idea of how difficult it can be to create a completely different for a school or company that has been around for years, and how fun it can be to create and revamp an entire website that I may think needs a little makeover.
